Former Boise State running back Doug Martin was pulled from Friday night’s game between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the New England Patriots after being kneed in the head while attempting to block a defender, CBSSports.com is reporting.
Martin went to the sideline following the play, and was briefly checked out by trainers. He was seen being taken to the locker room shortly after being examined. The Buccaneers haven’t made an announcement on the injury yet.
Martin is going into his second season in the NFL. In his rookie year, Martin rushed for 1,454 yards and 11 touchdowns. He also caught 49 passes for 472 yards.
