The Boise State football team opened the doors of Caven-Williams Sports Complex to the public on Friday to watch its annual Junior Pro Day.
The event is a chance for underclassmen to practice the drills and tests that they will perform in front of NFL scouts as seniors on the official Pro Day.
Some of the highlights of the day:
Redshirt freshman quarterback Nick Patti showed off his speed in the 40-yard dash, running around a 4.5 sprint between the unofficial times.
Former Bishop Kelly standout offensive lineman Spencer Gerke lifted 225 pounds 32 times in the bench press, while defensive end Beau Martin did 29 repetitions.
At 215 pounds, runningback Jay Ajayi posted a vertical jump of 37.5 inches, and ran his 40-yard-dash in the 4.4 second range, unofficially.
Several players, including wide receiver Aaron Burks, ran sub 4.3 40-yard-dash times.
