Broncos hope to take emotion on the road

The Boise State men’s basketball team won an emotional game on Saturday night, holding off a talented UNLV, 77-72, at Taco Bell Arena.  Now the Broncos must try to take that emotion on the road.

"If you can’t play at your highest emotion that night, and play one of your A-plus games, you’re going to get beat. We try to be even-keel, we try to play at the same level every night, but there are moments," head coach Leon Rice said on Monday. "That’s what playing at home does too, it helps lift your emotions. But, we’ve got to be able to take that on the road."

The Broncos next test comes at San Diego State on Wednesday.  The Aztecs, 16-5, could be ready to tangle with the Broncos.  They are coming off of a three-point loss to Air Force on Saturday.

Rice was unsure of the status of guard Igor Hadziomerovic, who sat out of the Broncos’ win over UNLV due to an impaired foot.
