Elorriaga stays at home, will not play vs Nevada

Boise State will be without injured guard Jeff Elorriaga for Saturday’s game against Nevada. The school confirmed today that the junior did not even travel to Reno with the rest of the team.

Elorriaga suffered a concussion against New Mexico on Jan. 16 but returned to the court against Fresno State on Wednesday. The Mountain West leader in three-point shooting played 18 minutes against the Bulldogs but sat out the second half after he fell and hit his head on the floor right before halftime.

Elorriaga told me that he had never suffered a concussion prior to the one he had on Jan. 16.

The Portland-native leads Boise State in minutes played per game (32.4), three-point field goal percentage (48.3) and three-point field goals made (56) this season.
